Dariusz Skowronski is a wonderful psychotherapist, a wise and caring person who always creates a comfortable environment for conversation, full of empathy, respect and acceptance.
Dariusz, I would like to thank you for your warmth and support and that I could always count on you in the most difficult and painful moments. You helped me understand that even in my worst traumatic experiences I can find strength to create something good. I’ve learned that I don’t need to feel like a victim. It’s been a beautiful experience to walk with you through my ups and downs.
I’m also very grateful for the extremely important couple therapy that I had with my husband. We’ve learned to communicate better, talk about our needs, feelings, sexual desire and always try to find constructive solutions. The whole 6 years of psychotherapy with Dariusz was the most valuable lesson and the greatest adventure of my life.

I came to Dr. Skowronski as a client when I lived in Japan, and I was surprised at how much can a person achieve with the help of a psychologist like Dariusz. He helped me to navigate through my problems, to see what I wasn’t aware of, and to take control of my life the way I wanted it. I can highly recommend Dr. Skowronski – he is the best of the best in psychology.

I haven’t had any conical help from Dr. Skowronski but I did have the privilege of taking his Brain Matters course in my university. He’s so passionate about this subject and made me think twice about the way I treat my mind and body.

The Clinical Psychology course I am taking this year is without doubt the best I have ever taken. Before, I have always believed that psychology was just a type of interesting literature, and that it is only effective for a definite circle of people of the same type and norm. I learned that there are no “same type of people”, and that each of them actually can be cured(with some exceptions) with the right treatment and time. I also imagined the class being dull, but was absolutely wrong. Like everyone says, it’s sooo fun. Professor Skowronski always surprises us. I might never get used to him. Even when he is smiling and joking, the things he say are very true and deep, with much detailed info. He never lies when he doesn’t know the answer to our questions. That is probably why he is so trusted. And his accent is cute! Ehem. Sometimes I wish I had some kind of psychological problem with my life so that I could see the clinical treatment in action, but I shouldn’t say this. I’m lucky to be healthy. Something else he taught me which I treasure, is “Even if life is bitter, at least you can have something sweet in your stomach! Like chocolate.” Thank you so much for teaching me that LIFE IS GOOD.

I was instantly intrigued by the course description for “Human Sexuality”, a class taught by Professor Skowronski earlier this year in Sophia University Tokyo, and thus decided to enrol in the class. After a semester spent taking the class, I knew I had made the right choice. Professor Skowronski created a very friendly, laid-back environment, which enabled the students to comfortably express and start sex-related discussions. In a place such as Asia, sex is hardly talked about (and is almost a taboo), especially between parents and children. What made the class even more valuable is the fact that we did not merely discuss about sex, but also psychological and as well as many other aspects relating to sex. Therefore, classes, lectures, and discussions by Professor Skowronski are not only fun, but also beneficial and essential to better understand ourselves and others.

First, I really appreciate Dr. Skowronski for teaching me this semester. It was my first experience to touch on the area of Human Sexuality. Dr. Skowronski really understands each student, and gives advice to us how to improve with your wonderful smile. With this topic, Human Sexuality, it never makes me feel uncomfortable to talk about it. As well as during the office time consultations, Dr. Skowronski always spends time to listen to my questions, teaches me how to solve issues and always keeps me up! Your advice always gives me positive power to understand more about human sexuality. Once again, thank you for all the wonderful teaching and knowledge.

I would like to say Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart for teaching Human sexuality at our campus. I have never thought and planed to study this field before. However, I got chance to learn it well and in depth. What I got from the lectures was a lot but what I liked most was understanding the psychological reactions toward humans. I would like to keep studying psychology for my future. Once again thank you so much for your lectures full of your encouragement, enthusiasm and lovely smile. I wish you success in your future.

I have attended a series of introductory lectures on psychology presented by Dr Skowronski in Tokyo. I joined halfway through the course and I only wish I had been there from the start! Dariusz’s evident passion for the subject and his energetic or even enthusiastic delivery kept me coming back week after week. The content was not dry academic papers but colorful, lively and even funny presentations sprinkled with real-life anecdotes, experiences and observations that the audience could easily relate to. Dariusz definitely knows how to keep the audience engaged, allowing questions and encouraging discussion and dialogue. It was one of the best experiences of this type in my life so do not hesitate if you have a chance to attend one of his lectures. Highly recommended!

Dariusz Piotr Skowronski is our professor now in Temple University Japan and he ignites the audience with his passion for the profession of teaching. He shares some interesting facts from his personal experience. Dariusz Piotr Skowronski makes lectures very interesting even if some subjects or topics are not exciting. I think the instructor does an exceptional job the way he teaches this course. I really wouldn’t change anything. He provided a safe, comfortable environment in which very sensitive topics can be discussed. Personally, I love to come to the lectures because this class makes to think me about my life and many topics are important for my life, in the future.
