Psychology and Sexology Trivia!

Did you know that many animals have a penis bone?

That’s right! While humans lack a penis bone, many other primates, like the gorilla, have them. It is generally located above the urethra and helps aid reproduction. Some primates even have a clitoris bone. Humans not having this bone may be due to males always accompanying females, where as chimpanzees infrequently encounter females, meaning they had to copulate for longer during those periods.
The proper term for the penis bone is the baculum and the proper term for the clitoral bone is the baubellum.
